From a university assignment to a full-service web studio — this is the story of WebCraft Atelier.

Background

"While studying towards Chartered Accountancy at UCT, I fell in love with idea of creating websites. To others it might have been a mere submission but to me, it unleashed the desire to test my limits."

I always thought websites were auto generated systems, however, realizing that I am capable of creating one myself made me wonder, "How much more can I do?"

The Craft

"My late grandmother was a tailor and I spent quite a lot of time with her, helping when she couldn't see her needle hole, you can say I was her little assistant."

As a result of those moments I eventually grew fond of fashion. Started trying out unfamiliar items and mixing colors to style those items.

With the interest embedded by the coding assignment and the passion I have for fashion, I figured I could create something the world has never seen before.

What Drives Us

Inspiration

"Inspired by entrepreneurs the likes of Vusi Thembekwayo, I have decided to be part of that movement and pursue a career in something I am passionate about."

As for design inspiration, nature is my primary source as it is just so perfect. Digital creators also add to my collection of inspirations and I also tend to find inspiration in unfamiliar settings.
